This is our verdict of the Dyson V11 Absolute based on several hours of research of reviews from both experts and users.
The Dyson V11 Absolute is an expensive cordless vacuum, but its price can be considered reasonable because compared to other cordless vacuums, it offers outstanding features and a variety of cleaning nozzles. It provides both quality and efficient cleaning.
It has six cleaning nozzles: torque drive motorhead, soft roller cleaner head, quick-release mini soft dusting brush, mini motorized tool, combination tool, and crevice tool. This provides you with a lot of options to choose from that best suit your cleaning needs. The torque drive motorhead is great for carpets since it can pick up the deeply embedded dirt within the carpet, while the soft roller cleaner head is suitable for hard floors because it can pick up large crumbs and will not damage your floors. The Dyson V11 Absolute has a wall-mounted bracket and a wand storage clip to store your cleaning nozzles.
While cleaning, the LED screen display in the head of the Dyson V11 Absolute shows you the battery life remaining, the suction mode, and any error messages. This is useful since it displays the condition of the cordless vacuum, so you can see how much time you have left to clean and what suction mode is active.
Just below the head is the trigger switch, which turns on the Dyson V11 Absolute. You have to constantly press the button the entire time that you are cleaning. This feature allows the Dyson V11 Absolute to optimize its battery consumption since it doesn’t have a competitive battery life in the first place. The moment you let go of the trigger, it also turns off the vacuum. . This could be a useful feature for preserving battery life, but it can also be a bit annoying to constantly press the trigger switch. It is also prone to accidentally pressing it or letting it go.
Another great feature of the Dyson V11 Absolute is that its torque drive nozzle automatically adjusts suction power depending on your floor type. This enables the Dyson V11 Absolute to adapt to the floor type and optimize the battery since it only uses high suction power in areas where it is needed. Using high suction power requires more energy consumption which is why the vacuum only lasts 12 minutes on Boost mode.
Emptying the dust bin is easy and mess-free and it is called the “point and shoot” feature which is also common to high-end cordless vacuums. This is really helpful since you no longer need to touch the dirt inside the dust bin while emptying it. Compared to other cordless vacuums, the Dyson V11 Absolute has a large dust bin that can store about 0.76 l so you won’t have to frequently empty the bin while cleaning.
However, the Dyson V11 Absolute might not be suitable for all people since it is a bit heavy and weighs about 3 kg compared to the Dyson V10 Absolute that weighs 2.68 kg. If you are not accustomed to carrying heavy things, it might strain your arms if you use it for an extended period of time.
Overall, the Dyson V11 Absolute is worth the try if money is not a problem for you because it provides versatility since it offers various cleaning attachments and advanced features, such as the LED screen and the automatic adjustment of suction power. Moreover, compared to the other versions of Dyson V11, such as the Dyson V11 Animal and the Dyson V11 Torque Head, the Dyson V11 Absolute has all the cleaning nozzles that the other two versions don’t have. For instance, the Dyson V11 Animal doesn’t have a high torque drive nozzle that can automatically adjust suction power. Meanwhile, the Dyson V11 Torque Head has a high torque drive nozzle but it doesn’t have a soft roller nozzle.
