Who should buy Medion MD 19700

  • If you are on a tight budget, the Medion MD 19700 might be an excellent option because it has an affordable price, and can still provide efficient cleaning.
  • If you live in a small house, the Medion MD 19700 might be able to clean every space of your room, even if it doesn’t have a smart navigation system.
  • If you don’t have a strong internet connection in your home, the Medion MD 19700 might be suitable for you. Unlike other robot vacuums, such as the Dreame F9 Mistral that can only be controlled through the app, the Medion MD 19700 comes with a remote control that doesn’t need internet connection.
  • If you have low-lying furniture, you might appreciate the low profile of the Medion MD 19700 that can easily clean under the sofa, bed and other hard-to-reach areas without getting stuck.

Who should NOT buy Medion MD 19700

  • If you live in a large house, it is better to look for robot vacuums with smart navigation systems; such as the Roborock S6 Pure, and the Dreame D9 to ensure that every area in your home is cleaned.
  • If you have many areas that you don’t want the robot vacuum to go to, such as the area where your pet’s water bowl is placed or areas with a lot of cables, it is more convenient to have a robot vacuum that comes with a magnetic strip, such as the Bagotte BG600Max, and the Eufy RoboVac 30C.

This is our verdict of the Medion MD 19700 based on several hours of research of reviews from both experts and users.
Updated 25-10-2021

The Medion MD 19700 is a cheap robot vacuum so you can also expect it to lack some advanced features, such as a mapping capability, app and other features that make robot vacuums expensive. Even if it lacks some features, it can still provide efficient cleaning.

It supports six cleaning modes which are: auto, spot, random, edges, zig-zag and max - you can select these cleaning modes in the remote control. It doesn’t have a mapping capability, so it doesn’t know the areas that it has and hasn't already cleaned. If you live in a small house, the Medion MD 19700 might have a higher chance to clean every space in your room. If you live in a larger space, the Medion MD 19700’s battery might be drained before it can clean every space in your room.

The Medion MD 19700 can only clean for a maximum of 110 minutes. If you use the max mode (which uses more suction power), it can only run for a maximum of 80 minutes. If it reaches a low battery level, it automatically returns to its charging base to recharge.

The drawback of the Medion MD 19700 is that it doesn’t come with a magnetic strip. So if you have areas that you don’t want the robot vacuum to go, you can improvise physical barriers but it might not be attractive to see in your home. Unlike the Bagotte BG600Max, and the Eufy RoboVac 30C, which have magnetic strips that are not noticeable and, hence, blend in well with the house. Another minor inconvenience of not having a smart navigation system, is that it cleans slower than other robot vacuums and might frequently get stuck.

Overall, the Medion MD 19700 is great for those who are new to robot vacuums because it is very easy to use, and has an affordable price so you won’t have to risk spending a lot of money. It is efficient to use for everyday cleaning.
