Vileda VR 102

The Vileda VR 102 is a very affordable robot vacuum but it doesn't have the smart features to match the more expensive robot vacuums. Compared to its other budget robot vacuum competitors, the Vileda VR 102 lacks a remote control and a charging station which is usually common in budget robot vacuums. However, it is one of the most affordable robot vacuums and can still manage to pick up dirt and keep your home clean.

You can only control the Vileda VR 102 through the three buttons on top of the robot itself. So, it is very easy to use and doesn't need programming like other more expensive robot vacuums. However, it limits your options in controlling the robot vacuum. It doesn't have a cleaning schedule feature and spot cleaning mode which is also common in other budget robot vacuums.

The Vileda VR 102 cleans quietly at 60 dB which is the same as the sound produced by a microwave oven or aircon. Meaning it won't disturb you while you are watching or doing other things. It also has a low height of up to 8 cm so it can easily go under furniture to clean hard-to-reach areas.

The Vileda VR 102 is also capable of picking up dirt on hard floors and low pile carpets. However, it might have a hard time vacuuming high pile carpets. It doesn't have an advanced navigation system, so it will navigate your house randomly and it will only change directions if it bumps into an obstacle. Fortunately, it only bumps against furniture lightly. This type of navigation won't ensure that your entire home is cleaned. But if you live in a small house with a small number of obstacles, it might manage to clean the entire area.

The Vileda VR 102 doesn't have a docking station for charging. So, it won't automatically recharge if it drains its battery like in the Eufy RoboVac 11s that has a docking station. As for the Vileda VR 102, you have to pick it up to where it drained its battery and plug its charger in.

Overall, the Vileda VR 102 lacks some features but considering its price, it is understandable. It also has a decent suction power that can handle small bits of dirt and basic cleaning but it isn't as powerful as a regular vacuum. So, the Vileda VR 102 is best used for maintenance and in-between cleaning since it might leave some spots uncleaned.
